Will I be taxed if I bet at least $1 on a prediction market app?
Will I be taxed if I bet at least $1 on a prediction market app?
It's my first time into a trade prediction app like Kalshi and pretty soon DraftKings as well, and my only question is that if I only make just $1 bet and I win $5, $10, or even $15, will I be taxed for that winning? Some say that the IRS only wants to report if your winnings are over $600, but I think prediction markets as well as sports betting apps work very differently for this sort of thing.
