I acquired a building where a downspout currently drains into an abandoned catch basin.
I’m considering redirecting the downspout away from the building, permanently closing the existing downspout connection, and sealing the catch basin.
How would you approach this project?
What is the proper way to seal the downspout connection and catch basin?
Is there anything I should inspect or be cautious about before sealing it?
Where should the downspout discharge instead?
Should I be overly prescriptive with the crew I hire? Or should this be straight forward
