How to verify a Cyprus corporate entity?
I have received a job offer from a company claiming to be registered and operating in Cyprus. Before providing personal documents or signing the employment contract, I would like to verify that the company is legitimate.
What information should I check—for example, its registration status, registered address, directors and official company documents?
I found https://CompaniesHouseCyprus.com , which provides a searchable database of Cyprus-registered entities and access to corporate information and official documents. Should I also verify the company directly through the Cyprus Registrar of Companies, and are there any other checks recommended before accepting the offer?
I am particularly interested in identifying warning signs such as a recently incorporated company, inconsistent contact details, inactive status or individuals falsely claiming to represent the company.
